Ernie was born on January 7, 1944, in High Prairie, Alberta, passed away peacefully in Nanaimo, BC on April 16, 2022, at the age of 78.
Ernie was the 5th of 6 children born to Olive (Mutch) and Earl Watt. Ernie grew up in Alberta in the High Prairie and Grande Prairie region. He moved to Nanaimo in the early 1970's, where he lived and worked for the City of Nanaimo.
Upon his retirement he moved to Ladysmith where he spent his remaining years. Ernie was an avid sailor and spent most of his free time on the water.
Ernie was predeceased by 1 sister, 2 brothers and his parents.
He leaves to mourn his sisters Evelyn Sarsfield, Edna Watt, Muriel Dolhman (Wayne), brother Erwin Pollock (Ann) as well as numerous nieces and nephews
A private viewing was held on April 21, 2022, at the Sands Memorial Funeral Home in Nanaimo.
Ernie will be laid to rest at the Cedar Valley Memorial Gardens
