Ernie Dolling

In loving memory ~
It is with great sadness we announce the sudden but peaceful passing of Ernie Dolling on December 3rd, 2022. He leaves behind his best friend and loving wife Gillian, stepson Ben (Shannon), stepdaughter Emily, grandchildren Daniel, Tyler and Jonathan, brother Jimmy (Wendy) and numerous nieces and nephews.
Ernie was born In Edmonton but grew up in Cedar on the family dairy farm, then taking it over from his parents. After a few years of dairy farming he moved on to Harmac pulp mill, taking the opportunity of an electrical apprenticeship offered. He remained there until his retirement in 2002.
Ernie and Gillian settled in Saltair where they enjoyed many years with wonderful friends. Ernie will be remembered as a loving husband, a fun grandad and step-dad, a loyal friend, a wonderful Uncle, and a true gentleman. He loved the outdoors, camping, playing tennis, playing cards, reading a good book and helping out wherever needed. He will be dearly missed.
A Celebration of Life will be held on December 28th 2022, 1:30 - 3:30p.m. at the Cedar Community Hall.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Parkinson's foundation.
