passed away peacefully on January 29, 2007 at Nanaimo Regional General Hospital. Born on September 8, 1917 in Milverton, Ontario. Gene was predeceased by her husband Norman Herbert after 58 years of marriage. Survived by children Norma Smith of Nanaimo, June Kowaiski of Kitchener, Ontario, Marlene Weigel of Waterloo, Ontario, Joan Lack of Toronto, Ontario, Carol Marcella of Waterloo, Ontario, also James Lack of Nanaimo, BC, John Lack of Beamsville, Ontario, Bruce Lack of Lansing, Michigan and David Lack of Fern, Ontario. Gene is also survived by grand and great grandchildren.
Her passing is sad but don’t remember our mom with tears, sing a song, make someone laugh, pour a glass of wine...this is remembering mom the way she would have wanted.
A visitation and tea will be held on Tuesday, February 6, 2007 and Wednesday, February 7, 2007 from 7:00 - 8:00 pm at Telford’s Memorial Chapel, 112 French Street, Ladysmith, BC.
