It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved father and Papa, Frank "Frosty" DeFrane. Frank passed away peacefully in the early morning on Saturday July 17th, with loved ones by his side.
He is predeceased by his loving wife Grace in 1984.
Frank is survived by his 3 children, Diane (Ian), Greg (Lynn) and Michelle (Glen). Grandchildren Debbie (Ron), Sandra (Gary), David (Carissa), Tracey and Robyn (Brent). Great Grandchildren Jordan, Matthew, Noah, Madison, Brayden and Annika. Special family friends Frank and Ev Crucil.
Frank was born and raised in Ladysmith where he held the title of oldest male born and still residing in Ladysmith.
As a young boy Frank delivered groceries by bicycle from the family owned grocery store. He was part of the 1946 BC Championship baseball team. Frank was proud to have worked in the logging industry for 45 years. He became an avid gardener, known for his famous tomatoes and a very proud member of the Ladysmith Eagles, Arie 2101.
Frank's big smile, kindness and sense of humour touched many people.
In the lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society
As per Frank's request a private family service will be held.
