Frederick (Fred) JESSUP

August 7, 2005

born March 30. 1936 in Fort McLeod, Alberta. Died suddenly August 7, 2005 while on vacation with his loving wife, of 44 years, Doreen.

Fred attended the University of Alberta when he obtained is BSc of pharmacy. He then worked as a pharmacist in Medicine Hat,

Alberta then Calgary. In 1961 Fred met and married Doreen deFrece. Fred then moved to Edmonton where he worked for the Royal Alexandra Hospital. In 1968 Fred took the opportunity to attend the University of Ottawa where he completed his Masters Degree in Health Administration. He then returned to Edmonton where he worked as the Assistant Business Administrator of the University of Alberta Hospital until 1974. At this time Fred accepted another position as the Administrator of the Prince Rupert Hospital. In 1975 Fred moved to Sidney, BC where he worked for the Ministry of Health as a regional Director of Hospital Administration. He stayed with the ministry until his retirement in 1996.

Upon retirement Fred and Doreen moved to Ladysmith where they have resided since. Fred became a member of the Ladysmith Hospital Auxiliary, the

Eagles Aerie 2101 and the Probus Club of Ladysmith. He loved camping, bowling, golfing, fishing and of course playing bridge with his family and friends.

He is survived by his loving wife Doreen, younger brother Ralph, son Terry and younger son Kevin and his wife Karen. Four grandchildren Rachel, Lauren, Cassidy and Colton. Fred will be greatly missed by all concerned.

Services are being held at 2:00 pm, Tuesday, August 16, 2005 at the United Church in Ladysmith.

Reception to follow at the Eagles Hall.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Ladysmith Hospital Auxiliary and would be greatly appeciated.
