Peacefully, in Victoria General Hospital on July 11, 2003, on his 41st birthday. Gary was born in Duncan, B.C., July 11, 1962. Predeceased by his mother Marie Charlie, 1969, sister Kathleen 1998. Survived by his loving father Gary Sr., son Joseph Max Charlie, sister Shirley Chickite, uncles; Dennis, Harvey and Ronnie Alphonse, Donald, Floyd Charlie, aunts; Betty Charlie, Joan Charlie, Catherine Joe, Violet Cook, Mary and Shirley Alphonse, also nieces, nephews and cousins and many friends. Prayers were Monday, July 14, 2003 at 7:00 pm in the Somenos Big House. Funeral Tuesday, July 15, at 9:30 am in the Somenos Big House, followed by interment in St. Annes Churchyard. Arrangements confidently assigned to Telford’s Mid-Island Memorial Services.
