May 10, 1945 - September 13, 2021
With sadness in our hearts and tears in our eyes, George passed September 13, 2021 after a short but courageous battle with brain cancer.
Survived by his wife Susan, daughter Nikki, grandson Stuart, son Chris, his wife Jeni and sister Alice.
George was born in Victoria on May 10, 1945 and worked many years as a letter carrier for Canada Post. Retiring in 2002 he then "lived the dream" with Sue by his side, travelling the world making wonderful memories and many friendships.
He will be remembered by his tinkering in the garage on his '65 Beaumont, '65 Mercury or any other project that needed to be done. He loved to chat with neighbours (or strangers too), was a whiz at music trivia and had a hilarious dry sense of humour.
He was a wonderful son, husband, father, brother and friend. We are all truly blessed with the gift of loving you.
Our sincere thanks to everyone who sent him encouragement and best wishes during his illness. Dr. David Woodly for his kindness and compassion.
The caring staff at the Victoria Cancer Clinic, Royal Jubilee Hospital and Island Health Hospice.
