Gilbert Nelson CLAYTON

born August 6, 1914 in Victoria, B.C., died February 11, 2005, Ladysmith, B.C.

Son of Joseph Clayton and Amy Acton. Gil served in the Canadian Army in Italy, on his return to Victoria, he worked as a Prosthetist and Orthostist for the D.V.A.

He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Margaret in Ladysmith, daughter Anne in Pouce Coupe, grandchildren: Maggie Fraser of Vanderhoof, Georgia Argyle of Nelson, Ivor Argyle of Coal Harbour, Jane Gowman of Lake Louise and Drew Gowman of Edmonton. Great grandchildren: Emily and Hannah Fraser, Raven Argyle Johnson, Hayden and Ocean Argyle and Sebastien Labbe Gowen. Gil was a life time member of the War Amps of Canada, a loving husband, father, grandpa and great grandpa. Gil was a talented water colour artist. In lileu of flowers, donations to the War Amps “Champ Fund” would be appreciated. (No Service by request).
