With sadness we announce the sudden passing of Powell on October 10, 2006.
Born in Listowell, Ontario in 1940,  Powell moved to Nanaimo at fourteen years of age. He is survived by his son, Thor, and Thor’s partner Rebekah of Nanaimo and his brother Lionel Grant of Montreal. Powell will also be greatly missed by his family, many friends and contacts at the Nanaimo Art Gallery. A private family gathering will be held at a later date.
