Hettie passed away peacefully on November 9, 2018. She was born on July 10, 1929 in the Netherlands. She immigrated to Canada in 1958 to marry Harry, the love of her life. Together they settled in Ladysmith in 1965 where they raised their family.
Hettie spent many hours volunteering for the Catholic Church, but will be remembered for her beautiful flower garden, her crocheting of doilies, blankets, pot holders, decorations, but mostly for her famous knitted slippers.
She leaves behind her son Frank (Barb), Daughter Nancy (Ron), Son-In-Law Dan, Grandchildren, Crysta, Janelle (Mike) Williamson, Garrett, Jessica (Charles) James, and her Great Granddaughter Grace, as well as many nieces and nephews in Holland.
Special thanks to the nurses and staff @ Malaspina Gardens for taking such good care of our Mom/Oma.
A celebration of life will be held at Telford's Memorial, 112 French St. Ladysmith on Sunday December 2, 2018 between 1-3 pm.
