Henry James “Hank” Krutz

May 21, 1954 – Mar 14, 2018
With deep sadness we announce the sudden passing of our brother Henry James Krutz on March 14, 2018. Henry, also known as Hank, was a loving soul always willing to help.

Henry, born in Brandon, Manitoba on May 21, 1954 moved to Vancouver Island as a child. After earning an honours degree in Business Administration at SFU, Henry made the Nanaimo and Ladysmith area his home. He was a steadfast, loyal, and likeable member of his community known to many of you through his tax preparation services and his deep connections to his congregation at the Kingdom Hall. He spent his later years giving loving and irreplaceable care to our father Werner Krutz.

Predeceased by his parents Werner and Roberta Krutz and brother-in-law Christopher Westfall, Henry is survived by his siblings William Krutz, Donna (Bruce) Hobson, Roberta Westfall, and Laura (Galan Akin) Krutz and nieces and nephews Kyle Krutz, Amy (Craig Webb), Adam Hobson, Layla, Carly, and Gia Akin.

Hank will be missed for his intelligence, sharp sense of humour, spontaneous laugh, and overall a kindness and generosity that knew no bounds.

The family would like to thank the medical staff at Island Health.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.

Please join us to celebrate Henry’s life at the Aggie Hall, 1110 1st Ave Ladysmith at 1:30 pm Saturday, April 28, 2018.

We love you Hank.
