Formerly of Winnipeg, died peacefully and with her family around her on Tuesday April 23, 2002, at the Cowichan District Hospital, Duncan, British Columbia.
Irene was predeceased by her husband Johnny and her brother Roy McCallum. She is survived by her son and daughter- inlaw John and Bunny Goodman, daughter Jill and John MacArthur. Grandchildren Jennifer and husband Wade Macknak and John and partner Marcie Parkin and Ayrton MacArthur.
Mum had a full life. She love outdoor activities until her last days. She participated in the Canadian Senior Games, coming home with the silver more than once. Her artistic ability was appreciated by everyone. She enjoyed healthy competition, good friends and family. Mums thirst for knowledge and personal growth maintained her enthusiasm for life.
She was an inspiration to us and as much as we’re going to miss her, we celebrate her new journey.
