passed away peacefully in Ladysmith Hospital on December 24, 2005.
Born in Toronto, Ontario June 10, 1920.
Predeceased by her first husband John Power 1949 and Joe Watson 1992, two sons: Bruce 2000 and John 2002.
Survived by her daughter Linda (Andre`) Pilon. grandchildren: Glen (Leona), Gary (Jen), Rick (Tanya), Dan (Angela), Brian (Masha), Brooke Anne, Tracy, Ryan (Donna), Lisa (Bill), Lauren (Craig), also 23 great-grandchildren. Also daughters-in-law: Monica, Bridget and Joan, nieces Donna (Robin), Nancy (Walter), Alyster (Harry), and also nephew David and many dear friends. Irene and Joe owned and operated a taxi business here in Ladysmith for a number of years. Irene was a member of the RCL Branch 171, the Ladysmith Hospital Auxiliary and the Ladysmith Seniors.
A Celebration Tea will be held on Wednesday, January 4, 2006 at 1:00 pm in the Ladysmith Senior’s Centre.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart and Stroke Fund would be appreciated.
