Jack CASH

August 29, 2005

Born July 22, 1918, passed away peacefully on August 29, 2005 at Nanaimo Travellers Lodge. Predeceased by his parents Bruce and Gwen and his dear wives Aileen and Elva. Jack will be fondly remembered by his three sons David (Fay), Derek (Darci) and Brian (Paula) and his stepdaughter Barb (Al), several grandchildren and great grandchildren, who very affectionately called him "Happy Jack". Jack was a commercial photographer in North Vancouver for many years. Thereafter he skippered onboard his beloved charter ship "The Columbian" traveling and escorting guests through the waters of the west coast. Jack most recently celebrated his 87th birthday in his unique style by riding a Honda Gold Wing motorcycle. Having lived in Nanaimo the past 8 years, he made an impression on all those he met with his great wit and sense of humour. A celebration of Jack's incredible life and times will be held in Nanaimo. The family thanks all those who assisted Jack in his later years, particularly the staff at Nanaimo Travellers Lodge, Nanaimo Regional General Hospital and his doctors, Ron Dorsey and Gordon McLauchlin. For those interested in attending, please contact his son Brian at (250) 755-1950, fax, (250) 755-1931 or email blcash@shaw.ca for the details of Jack's celebration.
