It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Jake Olfert on August 27th, 2019 at Nanaimo Regional General Hospital Palliative Care Unit. He is survived by his wife Eleanor of 67 years, his daughters Kim Yon (Gary), Lori Martin (Gary) and grandchildren Jennifer (Chad), Lindsay (Ashley), Brooke (Clay) and Dawn (Simon). His great grandchildren Matthew, Lily, Emma, Addison, Kyla and McCallum. He is also survived by his brother Curley Winnipeg and many nieces and Nephews.
In honour of Jake we are having an open house on Saturday September 7th, 2019 between 1-3 at the North Cedar Fire Department Hall, 2100 Yellow Point Rd., Cedar.
