Jacqueline Marie Whiteoak (nee Godsmark/nee Grouhel); passed away peacefully on March 1st, 2009. Survived by her two children: Martin D. (Barbara E.) Godsmark of Penticton and Gordon W.Godsmark of Edmonton; three grandchildren: Corrie L. (Kurt) Goessman of Salmon Arm, Kristie M. (Glen) Rasmussen of Denmark, Ben G.A. Godsmark of Penticton; two great grandchildren: Erik M. and Kamryn L. Goessman both of Salmon Arm; many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. Sadly predeceased by husbands George H. Godsmark and Horace C. Whiteoak.
Mom was a generous soul who loved her life and whose favorite phrase was “I’d rather be fishing.” Her infectious enthusiasm for all things living will linger in all who knew her.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, March 20th, 2009 at 1:30 p.m. from Parkview Chapel, 1258 Main Street, Penticton, BC with Reverend Ralph Spencer officiating and reception to follow.
