RAY, James Alexander
July 2nd, 1936 – June 20th, 2008
Jim (Bear) was born in Calgary, Alberta. He was very proud to be in the navy for 10 years and then worked in the Yukon as a surveyor until returning in 1965. In 1966 he married Lorraine and moved to Vancouver Island where he was a seaman with the BC Ferries for 24 years until retirement in 1998.
He was predeceased by his father James, mother Jessie, stepmother Anne, and his younger brother Brian.
He is survived by his loving wife Lorraine, his son Scott (Tara), and grandsons Jayden and Jordan, Todd (Carmen) and granddaughter Ireland, his twin brother Pat (Lois), niece Patti, great nephew Joshua, sister-in-law Janice, nephews Travis (Kim), Keith, Greg, and great niece November, and great nephew Decian.
He passed away peacefully on June 20th, 2008 after a short illness. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Rest in Peace, Jim.
