Jim passed away in the Cowichan District Hospital as a result of a serious stroke which he suffered on June 16, 2009. Jim was predeceased by his father, Elmer and his mother Eleanor. He is survived by many cousins and his brother, Harry and sister-in-law Shirley. Jim will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He was a precious person with special talents. He enjoyed preserving and restoring historic engines and vehicles. Jim may be out of sight but he is forever in our minds and hearts. We plan to have a Celebration of Life for Jim on Saturday, September 26, 2009 from 1:30 – 5:30 pm at Harry & Shirley’s place, 10825 Edgelow Road, Ladysmith. At 2:00 pm we will have a short informal service, slide show presentation and an opportunity to share remembrances. There will be time to reflect and enjoy Jim’s accomplishments displayed in his honor.
