In loving memory ~
Jim Jacobson was born in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. He moved to Ladysmith in 1996 and made it his permanent home. Jim was a salesman and musician, in addition to collecting and dealing in antique toys.
In the Sixties Jim was a singer and guitarist with Edmonton rock band Martha Strange, and then with Sundance in the Seventies. When he moved to Ladysmith he continued to share his talent as a guitar player with blues bands The Bowery Boys and Juice.
Jim brought delight to audiences, whether telling a story to family in the kitchen or rocking out on stage. He will be remembered for the passion he brought to any project, from restoring an antique train to working on a new song.
Jim will be missed by his brother, Cameron, daughter Christine (Mario) grandchildren Julia, Anthony, Eva, wife, Dawn, Step children, Doug (Ivy), Dallas, Danielle (Graham), grandchildren Hannah, Jack, Amy, Marcus (Hannah), Lucas, Sam, Ambrose, and Fox.
A gathering of close family and friends was held on September 22.
