November 13, 1936 - December 11, 2018
Born Nov. 13th 1936 in Dundee, Scotland, died Dec. 11th 2018 in Duncan Hospital. Predeceased by his parents, Jim and Ella Duffus. Survived by his sister Vera (Angus) Feketey, their children and grandchildren in Australia and his sister Evelyn (Bert) Scholl and their sons in Ladysmith.
John came to Canada to work on a research project at UBC and later moved to Ontario where he worked for 30 years as a Professional Engineer. Later he moved to BC to be closer to his sister Evelyn and family.
He had a passion for sports including Judo, long distance cross country skiing and cycling. In his retirement he enjoyed Scottish Country Dancing. John had a great love of literature, history and mathematics. A well rounded man with a great sense of humour. In his retirement he also built and managed several websites for non profit groups. He will be greatly missed.
A memorial service will be considered at a later date.
