On April 3, 2004 at Dufferin Place Long Term Care Facility after a long and courageous battle with MS.
Survived by his wife Virginia, daughter Kristine (Jim) Ostle, grandchildren Allison and Kegan and son Michael (Melanie Williams) and grandson Joshua.
Russ volunteered many years with the NDP and served as a director of Ladysmith and District Credit Union. As well, he was an active member of PPWC Local 2 before becoming ill. He was forever appreciative of the benefits that the union has struggled to achieve for all its members. We as a family have come to value our healthcare system. We must fight to protect it.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the MS Society or the BC NDP. We will be announcing a memorial picnic at a later date.
