Passed away peacefully at Chemainus Health Care Centre with his loving family by his side. Predeceased by his wife May, November 7, 1998. Survived by his son’s: John (Aroon), Gordie (Pat), and Dan (Beth), grandchildren: Meghan, Richard and Christa, his brother Jimmie (Colleen) and numerous nieces and nephews. Johnnie was a long time resident of Chemainus, having worked in the sawmill, He served overseas in WWII and both he and May were dedicated members of the R.C.L. He loved the outdoors and will be fondly remembered for his love of fishing. The family would like to thank the caring staff of the Chemainus Health Care Centre and especially Rosemary and Dr. Manhas. A private family (graveside) service at Cedar Valley Cemetery. A tea will be held for family and friends at the Chemainus Legion on Wednesday, August 15, 2002 from 1:00 to 3:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the garden view wing of the Chemainus Health Care Centre. Arrange-ments entrusted to Telford’s Mortuary.
