ROSE, Josephine Dorothy

Sadly, Josephine passed away peacefully November 8, 2007 at the Lodge on 4th in Ladysmith. She was pre-deceased by her husband, Allan, and her youngest daughter, Deborah. She is survived by her sister, Doris, and brother Maurice (Pat); her daughters Jane and Terri (Ron); grand-daughters, Heather (Michael), Stacy (Neil), Kim (Bill); grandson, Michael (Jan); as well as great-grandsons Ian, Zachary, Rian, Joe, Conor and Michael; and great grand-daughters Alexis and Joy.

Mom was born in London England on February 4th, 1920 and moved to Canada during WWII to marry a Canadian, Allan Rose. They married and settled in Montreal, then moved to Calgary in 1955, then finally to Ladysmith in 1980. Jo was a wonderful wife and mother—a very loving lady whose main joys were her children and grandchildren, animals and music. We will all miss her very much.

The family is very grateful to all the staff at the Lodge on 4th and the home care workers who were so kind and thoughtful. Our thanks, also to Dr. E. Fritsch, who was always there for us. As well, thank you to Telford for making our arrangements.

A private celebration of Jo’s life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations could be made to a charity of your choice.
