In Loving Memory ~
Judy passed away peacefully in the loving care of Cowichan Hospice after a short battle with cancer.
She is predeceased by her husband of 47 years, Tom Williams, and survived by her only child Vicki Williams (Nathan Taylor).
She is also survived by all of her six siblings: Betty Cashubec (Leo), Gail Mooney (David), Louise White (Bill), Bill Cassidy (Jan), Bob Cassidy (Anne), and Cathi Arbuthnot (Keith) as well as countless nieces, nephews, extended family, and close friends.
Judy was born and grew up in Renfrew, Ontario where she lived until meeting Tom in 1972 when they embarked on an extended cross-country adventure. Heading west they moved frequently until they found Ladysmith, B.C., in 1983 and purchased their forever home in 1985.
While Judy would tell you Tom was the life of the party, Judy was surely the driving force. The first to stand up when work needed to be done and the last to go home after the party is cleaned up, Judy will be missed by many.
Judy will be remembered in her community for her time serving at True Value Hardware and 49th Parallel Grocery, for her countless volunteer efforts throughout her 35-year membership with the Ladysmith Eagles Auxiliary#2101 and for always having a jug of her famous Caesar's ready in the fridge when you stopped in to visit.
No service by request, those wishing to do so may make a donation to Cowichan Hospice in her name.
Condolences may be left and information found at www.evergreencremationcentre.com
