March 23, 1930 - July 9, 2018
It is with great sadness that we share the passing of our dear loved one, Kon. He died at home, as was his wish, surrounded by those who were close to his heart.

Kon was born in Austria and after the war, he dreamed of a new life of freedom and opportunity. He was a young highly skilled welder. His dream came true when he immigrated to Canada in 1952. He first settled in Vancouver and later relocated to Vancouver Island in 1965. Kon then purchased the Saltair Welding Shop and became a successful business owner and was highly respected in the community.

Kon was a brilliant, tremendously hard working man. He was a mechanical genius and could build and repair practically anything. Always a problem solver willing to help all in his community. Kon is predeceased by Agnes Koch nee Keffer and stepfather Hugo Koch.

Many of you will remember Kon as a wonderful human being, a kind soul, and a hero. He will be sorrowfully missed and forever adored by his beloved girls: Jackie and Leanne.

No service will be held as per Kon's request.
