Kyle passed away peacefully after 16 days at St Pauls Hospital due to a sudden cardiac arrest, he was 37.
He is survived by his parents Rondi and Richard, of Ladysmith; and his brother Curtis (Colleen), of Langley. He was predeceased by his grandmother and grandfather Hilda and Alf
Johansson; grandmother Dorothy Sturrock; and his uncle Wayne Johansson.
Kyle graduated from the University of Victoria in 2004 with a Bachelor of Arts. He went on to work for several companies including Canadian Cancer Society, Jewish Family Service Agency of Vancouver, Island Savings, British Columbia Lottery Corporation and Western Union Business Solutions.
Kyle was an avid traveller, music and sports fan. He was a great fan of the New York Mets and the Oregon Ducks.
He was buried at a private service at Cedar Valley Memorial Gardens outside of Nanaimo, BC and a celebration of life will follow in the weeks to come.
