We are sad to announce the passing of Lars. Predeceased by daughter Anne, and son Carl. Survived by loving wife of 65 years - Rosa, daughters Rosa Mette and Inge (Dan), son Paul (Kris) daughter-in-law Karen and son-in-law Martin; 10 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren and family in Denmark.
Born in Allingaabro, Denmark and served in the Danish Royal Guards, Lars immigrated to Moose Jaw, Canada in 1951 and married Rosa in 1952.
Lars apprenticed as a carpenter and relocated to Calgary, then Ladysmith in 1967. While raising their five children he worked as a carpenter and construction superintendent on many civic projects in Ladysmith and Nanaimo.
Lars spent time reading and painting, using his CB radio and enjoying his bird aviary.
The family would like to thank Dr. Christine Igbinosa and the staff at Lodge on 4th - especially 3rd Floor, for their loving care of Lars.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, June 2 at 2 pm at the Lodge on 4th Common Room, 1127 4th Avenue, Ladysmith, B.C.
