LAURIE ANN WILLIAMS (Copp)
December 21, 1955 - June 22, 2007
Laurie was born and raised in Chemainus, BC spending time in both Alberta and BC before settling in the Comox Valley with her family. Laurie and Daryll joined their families together in February 1983 living a happy twenty-four years in Royston.
Laurie had many friends and especially loved her softball and bowling teams. Daryll and Laurie loved to travel with their children and, as a couple.
Laurie is predeceased by her sons Ryan Wesley Odland (1981 - 1982) and Jason William Odland (1978 - 2000). Her parents George (Joe) Copp (1986) and Rose-Marie (Rosie) Copp (2001).
Laurie is survived by her loving husband Daryll and parents-in-law Iris and Don Williams; her son Daniel/Jordan, daughter Regan/Brad, son Josh and her cherished grandchildren, Paxton, Zachary and Gage. Laurie also leaves behind her loving sisters, Lynn/Ken Morrison and Cindy Lunde/Jerry,
Sandi/Chuck Moore and sister-in-law
Denise/Larry, and many more nieces/nephews and great nieces/nephews, all of whom she adored.
Laurie's first priority was her family. She created a kind, loving home for them over the years. Laurie devoted many hours at Royston Elementary School and always impressed others with her cakes, chocolates and treats. In 1998 Laurie completed her certificate in the Human Service Worker program and enjoyed many years working as a substitute teachers aid.
Laurie was the kindest, most giving, loving person who has become one of God's perfect angels. We will miss her until we meet again.
The family would like to extend thanks to Dr. Tancon, Catherine and the staff at the Cumberland Medical Clinic.
Dr. Sullivan, Dr. Ingram and the nurses at the Comox Valley Chemo Ward. Dr. Christopher Kind and the wonderful ladies of her anticipation group for their friendship, kindness and support, especially through the last courageous battle.
