KJAER, Lennart (Len)
Born in Dorarp, Sweden, November 4th, 1917, passed peacefully on the morning of January 17, 2003 at Ladysmith Hospital after a brief and hard-fought battle with cancer. Len is survived and lovingly remembered by his wife Ursula of 44 years, son Bjorn (Janis), grandchildren Jordan and Hailey, son Hjalmar, daughter Patricia (Andy), grandchildren Logan and Maia. Len (Opa) you will be missed by us all and all of your friends you have touched throughout your life.
You have lived a full life and enjoyed very minute of being a Pilot with KLM, husband and father. Your stories will be passed on by all your friends who have enjoyed listening to them (John and Irene, Susan and Ian, Georgina and Ed and Bud).
Special thanks to Dr. E. Fritsch, all the nurses and staff at Ladysmith Hospital for your excellent care and compassion. There will be no service as per Len’s request. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Ladysmith Hospital Palliative Care or the Canadian Cancer Society. A gathering of family and friends will be held this coming summer in celebration of Len’s life.
