It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our Mom, Lois Cooper (Wheaton) on July 11, 2018, at the Oyster Harbour Seniors Community.
Lois was predeceased by her parents Chauncey Wheaton and Nancy Perny Pennell. She is survived by her husband, Bruce; sons, Drew and Jeff (Sandra Lauscher); 3 grandchildren, Sheila (Doug), Cassandra, Anastasia; and 3 great grandchildren Carys, Dylan, Hunter. Lois and Bruce would have been married 62 years on August 25, 2018. Lois was born in Melfort, Saskatchewan.
She had 2 brothers, Norman Ward Wheaton (passed June 1954) and Ellis Gordon Wheaton. Lois worked as a Home Economics Teacher for a while. The rest of the time Lois was a stay-at- home mom. She loved gardening and weaving. Lois also did a lot of volunteer work for different organizations in Ladysmith. She always found the good in everyone. The greatest job of all was being our Mom and Grandma.
The family would like to extend their profound thanks to the Oyster Harbour Seniors Community staff, to Dr. Kennedy and Claire, and all the other doctors and nurses who cared for mom.
Special thanks to mom's friends and family who came to see mom before her journey to heaven.
