Lois (nee Radford) Linton

Ladysmith, BC, passed away at Ladysmith Hospital on May 19, 2005 at the age of 70 years. Predeceased by her husband Raymon of forty- three years, and by her parents Jack and Ruth Radford.

Lois was born on December 19, 1934 in Ladysmith, B.C. and took her schooling there. She met R.C.M.P Cst. Raymon Linton in 1956 and were married in 1957, moving to London, Ont. where they resided until 1963. Returning to Ladysmith, Lois was employed as a legal secretary for 36 years with the Law Firm of Heath and Co., retiring in year 2000.

She and Raymon shared a great love of all animals, besides breeding Standard Poodles and Pomeranians, they enjoyed a menagerie of animals, aviary birds and water-fowl on their hobby farm in Cedar. Lois remained on the farm caring for them.

Lois’ home reflected her talent in craft and home decor. Her family and friends often enjoyed her gourmet meals. Upon retirement, Lois became and avid clogger and travelled about with her clogging group.

During the later years, Lois found ultimate joy in sharing the care of her nephews, infant triplet boys.

Left to mourn Lois’ passing are her sister Judy (Terry) Smith, and her brother Tom (Joyce) Radford, numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and her very many friends, all of whom loved and valued this gentle lady with her sweet smile and soft voice.

During her illness, Lois was lovingly cared for in her home by her family & last days were spent in the Ladysmith Hospital. Donation in Lois’ name to a charity of your choice would be appreciated. A memorial tea was held on Fridy, May 27, 2005 at 1:00 p.m. in the Ladysmith Eagles Hall, 921 First Avenue, Ladysmith, B.C.
