Lynne Dianne of Cedar

died on Saturday, October the eleventh after a long and dilligent fight against cancer.

She had just had her 58th birthday. She is survived by her partner, Ken Hamm, well known local musician, her mother, Barbara Wallace of Ladysmith, her son Jordan of Toronto, her brother Greg of Cedar and her neice Jessice Wallace.

Also by her step children Debbie, Brent, Corrie and Carrie Long. And by her special friends including Frances Gagnon of Nanaimo, a friend of over fifty years, Ruth Loomis and Neil Atkin of Gabriola, who opened their home to her and cared for her during her illness, and Jackie Maund, a registered nurse, who came out from Ottawa to care for her during her major surgery and later to make her last days as comfortable as possible. And finally Jackie’s partner, Laurie Gourlay, a good and true friend.

A Celebration of her life was held in the Cedar Community Hall on Wednesday evening October 15, 2003 with a large number of relatives and friends in attendance attesting to her popularity. Many tributes were paid to Lynn by those who had shared her life and her work. Some were verbal comments, others were musical.

The family wish to thank the many friends who have gathered round to help them through this difficult time and to express appreciation for the cards and flowers.
