Margaret Kitchen Philp

It is with great sadness we announce the death of our beloved Aunt Marg. Margaret Kitchen Philp, born October 3, 1916, passed away at her home in Ladysmith on Saturday, February 27, 2010.

Aunt Marg’s life was rich with family and dear friends. She was an inspiration to us all and the golden thread that held our families together. She dedicated her life to her family and friends, her various clubs and numerous charities.

Margaret served in the Royal Canadian Air Force during the Second World War and then worked at the ‘Biological Station’ in Nanaimo until her retirement. She was a long time resident of Cedar until her move to Ladysmith.

Forever in our hearts: Nephews and Nieces Philip, David, Roger, Conrod and families: Terry, Rilla (Heise), Laura (Pagani), Margaret and Doug Philp and families and her great nieces and nephews whom she loved so much.

Thanks you Wendy, Brent, Colleen, Shauna, Phyllis and Debbie for taking such extraordinary care of our Aunt and treating her with such kindness and dignity.

A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date. Donations can be made in Aunt Marg’s memory to: Old Koksilah School Museum, 5213 Koksilah Rd., Duncan, BC V9L 6V6.
