Hawkins – Marion Valmai
June 09, 1940- June 21, 2016
Marion’s spirit left her physical body on Tuesday June 21, and has gone to join her parents, John and Jesse Hawkins; brothers Barry and Peter and her sister-in-law Ngaio (Noel).
She will be lovingly missed by her son Tony (Mario) and his wife Alex. She was the “ugly blister” to her brother Noel and Allan.
Although not being gifted, she loved being creative and enjoyed gardening, spinning, weaving, knitting, crocheting and smocking.
Many thanks to the ALS Society of B.C., Doctor Manhas, Mesuda, Charles Krieger, at the GFStrong ALS Clinic and their amazing knowledgeable and compassionate staff.
Gratitude is also expressed to Tania Ross, Martene Charles and the many other excellent professionals who she met on her final journey.
To her friends, Rondeau, Dawn, Wendy, Erica, Joe, John, and Linda and members of the Chemainus Communities in Bloom, the words thank you do not adequately express her gratitude. Their help made it possible for her to stay at home.
At her request there will be no funeral but friends are invited to attend a Celebration of her Life at a later Date.
