On June 13, 2003, peacefully at his home in Duncan, B.C. surrounded by his loving wife and fammily. Born April 1, 1933 at Koksilah, B.C. Pre-deceased by his grandfather Chief Sahilton, parents: James and Mary Modeste, sisters: Eliz-abeth and Arelen, brothers: Clarence, Percy and Joe, granddaughter Trudy. Survived by his loving wife Elizabeth, and children: Darrell (Faye), Fran, Donna, Maureen (Fabian), Sherri (Ron), Jason (Nadine), Johnathan and Amanda. Grandchildren: Derek. Angus, Melainie, Peter, Corey, Colin, Ryan, Levi, Amber, Fabian, great grandchild Acacia. Brothers: Ross (Beverly), Fred (Sarah), Hubert (Emily) and Rodney, sisers: Dora (Steve), Margaret (Tom), Marina, Joanne (John), Catherine (Tony), and Marlene, also numerous nieces and nephews and relatives. Prayers were Monday, June 16, 2003 at 7:00 pm in the Shaker Church, Duncan, B.C. Funeral is Tuesday, June 17, 2003 at 9:30 am, followed by burial in the Shaker Cemetery, Indian Road, Duncan, B.C..
