Born Owen Sound Ontario, September 21, 1932. Died November 23, 2002 in Ladysmith, B.C. Mary-Jean is survived by her loving husband of 43 years Pat. She is also survived and dearly missed by her daughter Rae-Anne (Jim); sons Jeff and Mike (Tanya); grandchildren Alexandra, Nick and Travis. Mary-Jean is also survived by her sister Sandra Taylor and brother Joe Thibaudeau and Aunt Jean Stewart as well as her nieces and nephews. Mary-Jean had many good friends, too many to mention. To name one would be a disservice to the others, but you know who you are. Mary-Jean was a unique woman and lived her life by her own standards and often spoke her mind. Mary-Jean touched the lives of many people and found something worthwhile in everyone. Over the 44 years she lived in Ladysmith Mary-Jean was active in the community, especially through the Kinette Club. Mary-Jean graduated from Toronto University with a B.A. and then received her teaching certificate. She taught school in Ontario and B.C. While in B.C. she became a social worker and for several years worked out of Nanaimo. Mary-Jean’s family would like to thank the nurses and staff at Ladysmith Hospital as well as Dr. Britton-Foster for their caring attention. The family would especially like to thank all the friends who were a great comfort to her. In lieu of flowers, please send a donation to a charity of your choice. No service by her request. We love you Mum.
