In loving memory ~

Melbourne Jung passed away peacefully at the age of 93 at Royal Jubilee Hospital on March 21, 2025 in Victoria, B.C. Born and raised in China, he was lovingly brought up by his grandmother and developed a passion for drumming. At 17, he immigrated to Canada, where he embraced hockey and built a life with his beloved wife, Anne, whom he married in 1957. Together, they raised their children, Gordon and Terrie, in Chemainus, where they ran a successful family grocery store.

Melbourne was an active member of the Freemasons and found great joy in the Gum Sing singing club in Victoria. He will be remembered for his kindness, love of music, and dedication to family and community. The family extends their heartfelt thanks to the caring staff at Royal Jubilee Hospital. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

A memorial service to be held at Sands Funeral Chapel, 1 Newcastle Ave, Nanaimo, BC on April 10, 2025 at 10am.
