Passed away peacefully on Friday, October 1, 2004. Born in Ontario on November 25, 1923. Predeceased by her husband Harvey (1973). Lovingly remembered by her family; Wayne (Leona), Sonia (Ed) Guay, Jim (Irene); 7 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren; sisters Mary and Eva, both of Ontario. Nettie and her husband Harvey farmed for over 40 years in the Chemainus area. She was a member of the Women’s Hospital Auxiliary for many years of which she made many stuffed toys and other homemade items. Private family burial has taken place in Cedar Valley Memorial Gardens, where she lies with her husband Harvey. A Celebration of Nettie’s Life will be held at the home of Wayne and Leona, 9150 Chemainus Road, Chemain-us, BC on Saturday, October 16, 2004 between 1:00 and 4:00 pm. Flowers gratefully declined.
