July 9, 1925 - May 20, 2018
We are saddened to announce that on Sunday May 20th, 2018 at Wexford Creek Care Facility in Nanaimo BC, with family at her side, Octava (Ava) passed away at the age of 92 years.
Ava was predeceased by her first husband, Amedee (Mid) Lamontagne and also by her second husband Gordon (Sandy) Reid; parents, John and Eva Beaudin; son, Robert Lamontagne, sisters, Florence La Chance (Leo), Rosa St. Germain (Toby), Laura la Chance (Edouard) and Sister lea Beaudin; brothers, Omer Beaudin (Victorine), Moise Beaudin (Ethel), Donat Beaudin (Jessie), Laurent Beaudin (Erica) and daughter in law, Evelyn (Ev) Lamontagne.
Ava is survived by her sons; Wayne Lamontagne (Rebecca), Allan Lamontagne (Sharon), Marc Lamontagne (Lesley), David Lamontagne (Janice) and daughter-in-law Chris; eight Grandchildren, numerous Great Grandchildren and Great Great Grandchildren; sister, Amanda (Marcel) LeClaire; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Ava was born July 9th 1925, grew up in St. Eustache, Manitoba and later resided in the Ladysmith BC area. She ran Mom's Kitchen in Chemainus and retired later from Ladysmith Hospital where she had been working as a cook.
She enjoyed gardening and her family and friends.
The family would like to thank Wexford Creek staff for their loving care over the last 8 years.
