Born February 5, 1920, passed away peacefully in Nanaimo on February 10, 2002 after a short courageous battle with cancer.
Predeceased by her parents Charlotte (nee Gordon) and Ben Parker, her sisters Irene, Arvilla and her brother John.
Olive is survived by her loving husband of 56 years Albert, her son Jack, her brother Cliff (Martha), her sister Lulu, (sisters-in-law Louise and Kay), David and Wendi and numerous other nieces, nephews and their families.
Olive was born in Kisby, Saskatchewan. She graduated as a RN from the Royal Jubilee Hospital School of Nursing in February 1944. Married Albert in 1945 in Victoria, B.C. Jack was born in 1955. Olive has lived in Cedar, BC since 1949.
The family wishes to thank the 5th Floor Palliative Care Nurses, Aides and Hospice Volunteers for ensuring that her last days were filled with such loving care.
There will be no service by her request. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her honor to the #171 Ladysmith Legion, or the Canadian Cancer Society.
