Peter Bernard Dumont, B.Sc., CD, AACI.  Peter passed away peace fully with his family at his side.

Peter is survived by his wife Lorraine and his children from his first marriage, Sharleen (Bob), Michael (Chantal) and Sheldon (Cheryl), grandsons Rayne and Jacob, brothers Gerry, Tim (Claudia), Steve and Robin and sisters Tina (Ed) and Sue, plus nieces and nephews, stepchildren and step-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by his parents Victor and Dorothy and brother Brian.

Peter enjoyed learning all of his life.  Before any trip books about culture and history were studied.  He followed politics and would enthusiastically take part in any lively, respectful debate.  He read widely, particularly on Canadian history.  Peter tried golf, but preferred playing bridge, which he thoroughly enjoyed.  Last but not least was his love of music, which he enjoyed on his great audio system.

Peter remarked his greatest legacy was his children.  Anyone who knew him knows how proud he was of them and their accomplishments.

He was Lorraine's best friend, confidant and love of her life.  They travelled extensively across Canada, taking back routes and stopping at historic sites and museums.

Peter will be missed, but his family is happy he is at peace.

A celebration of life will be scheduled in the spring.

In lieu of flowers please donate to a charity of your choice.
