June 2, 1922 - April 11, 2021
It is with great sadness that the family of Phyllis June Timothy announce her passing on April 11, 2021. Born in Drinkwater Saskatchewan, June 2, 1922.
She was the youngest in a family of 9. Predeceased by her first husband Norman McMahon in 1950 and Robert Louis Timothy in 2016. Also predeceased by all her brothers and sisters from the Berkey family.
Phyllis is survived by her loving son Barry McMahon (Diane), adored grandson Ryan McMahon (Cathleen) and great-grandchildren Bella, Jett, Zari. Mom was a strong positive woman known for her beautiful rose and flower gardens, as well as her fine cooking and baking. She aced crossword puzzles and loved her bingo. She listened to world politics, and watched her curling and Blue Jays baseball faithfully.
Phyllis especially loved her family. Always wanting to know what everyone was doing. Grandson Ryan kept her connected to her love of music and she followed his travels wherever they took him.
When times were different, she enjoyed her visits with nieces and nephews and the younger generation that would be coming up.
She easily brought you into conversations and enjoyed a good tease and laugh. Moving to the Lodge July 2017, Mom became part of a new community. Meeting up with old friends and tablemates Wilma and Kay.
Thank you to all the 4th floor staff that helped make her time there "home". Special thanks to Dr. Kilvert and all the nurses. Especially Lana. To Jen and Rae, thank you for making our visits happen so easily.
We will always love you mom, grandma, great grandma. We are so very lucky to have so many good years together. Your laugh, your smile and your spirit will always be with us.
Thank you to everyone for the phone calls, cards and flowers. It has made a difference. We will all get together when it is safe to do so and celebrate the life of Phyllis. Should you wish; please make a donation to a charity of your choice in her name.
