Ray Alfred ROADHOUSE

March 26, 2006

Born in Eversham, Saskatchewan on June 24, 1918. Ray passed away on March 26, 2006 in his 88th year after a brief struggle with cancer. He will be sadly missed by his wife Laurie, and her family members, including her sons: Arthur and Gordon Grant and their children; and his family members from his marriage with his first wife Margerie (deceased 2005) including his sons: Bruce and Brian (eldest son Gordon deceased 1989) and his daughters: Nora Wescot and Carole Picklyk and his many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Ray served with the R.C.A.F. during WWII and was a former member of the R.C.L. He was a man of many trades and worked in industries as diverse as farming, automotive mechanics and insurance. Ray was a physically active person who enjoyed dancing, including square dancing, fishing, camping and the outdoors. Special thanks to Dr. Graham Brockley and the staff at the Cowichan District Hospital. A Celebration of Ray's Life for family and friends will be held on Saturday, April 8, 2006 at 2:00 pm at the Common Hall at the Town and Country Mobile Home Park, Westdowne Rd., Ladysmith, BC.
