Rene Marcel Moeri
passed away peacefully in his sleep at his home in Chemainus, B.C. on September 2, 2002. Rene was born in La Chaux de Fonds, Switzerland on August 4, 1914 and immigrated to Canada in 1950. Farming, telling stories, and helping anybody and everybody were a few of the things Rene liked best. He will be fondly rememb ered by his many friends for his unique sense of humor. Rene will be greatly missed by his very best friend of 50 years, Audrey Ginn and her grandnephew Ted Wilson of Victoria as well as his friend and neighbour, Susan Hart. A private interment will take place at a later date. There will be no service by Rene’s request.
