HUSBAND, Richard Laurence March 15, 1943 – September 1, 2009
Richard passed away quietly surrounded by friends and loved ones after a short battle with cancer.
Richard will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered by his loving wife of 45 years Shirley, his two daughters Cheryl and Kelly; his sisters Vernelle and Illona (Herb), his brother Michael (Adrienne), his stepbrothers Colin, Paul, and Evan; his many nieces, nephews, and cousins, many friends and neighbours.
Richard will be fondly remembered for his kind and loving heart, love of family, quirky sense of humour, his dedication to friends, neighbours and the community at large.
Richard was predeceased by his devoted Bear-Dog with whom he now hunts. Richard was the owner/operator of Rural Repairs and Welding, and well known for his honesty and excellent work ethic. In lieu of fl owers, the family requests a donation be made in Richard’s name to the North Oyster & Area Historical Society, 13467 Cedar Rd., Ladysmith, BC, V9G 1H6. A Celebration of Richard’s Life will be announced at a later date.
