Passed away peacefully in Ladysmith, BC on January 5, 2006 with his loving family at his side. Survived by his dear wife Shirley of 54 years, sons; Ian (Barbara) and Douglas (Val), grandchildren: Christopher, Jennifer and Kathryn. Also by brothers: Sandy (Betty), Graham (Betty), Jim (Bernice), Duffy (Carol), sisters: Margaret, Sheila, Bladwyn (Bob), Judy (Ray), sisters-in-law: Mavis & Carol, also many nieces and nephews. Bob was a longshoreman for 42 years, he enjoyed gardening, and traveling south to Yuma each winter to enjoy the sunny weather. He was a member of the Ladysmith Eagles. Predeceased by his parents: Hugh and Flora Strachan, brothers: Angus and Malcalm. At Bob's request there will be no service. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Ladysmith Hospital Auxiliary or a charity of choice would be greatly appreciated.
