Robert Charles
Passed away on October 30, 2002 in Cowichan District Hospital. Born in Chemainus, B.C. on June 23, 1939. Predeceased by his parents: Hedvig (1949) and Merton (1988); brothers: Maxwell (1998), and Wesley (1971), Donald (1988) and sister Doris Gallagher (1984).
Survived by his loving wife Darlene, sons: Rodney, Neil (Debbie), and daughter Glenda (Ian) McIntyre of Vancouver, stepchildren: Richard, Scott (Laurie), Douglas and Michelle (Ray) Peters of Chemainus, brother Gerry (Louise) of Cedar and sisters: Vera May Duncan and Ruth (Jack) Atkinson of Ladysmith.
Grandchildren: Kaitlyn, Ryan, Mark, Kimberley, Brandon, Chadd, Holly and Sarah. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. A lifetime resident of Chemainus, he worked for many years as a longshoreman and then into construction. Bob’s hobbies were hunting, fishing and raising pheasants.
