Bob died peacefully of old age at 92, July 27, 2005
at Ladysmith General Hospital. Nanaimo born on June 3, 1913, Bob was a pioneer in the electrical industry on Vancouver Island.
Predeceased by wife Jean (Armishaw) he leaves behind his second wife Anne, sons Bill (Loretta) and Rob (Rowena), grandchildren David, Janine, Chad (LeAnne) and Sean and great granddaughter Rebecca.
Bob was an honest, cheerful and easy going man, earning the respect of all who knew him through both his industry and community volunteer efforts. Bob was a member of the Ashlar Lodge of the Masons since 1934 and of the Nanaimo Rotary Club since 1948. Bob was a founding member in 1952 of the Electrical Contractors Association of British Columbia.
The family wishes to express their gratitude to the staff, nurses and volunteers of Ladysmith Regional Hospital for their compassion and care for Bob over the past several years and to especially thank Dr. Britton-Foster for his guidance.
A private family service is to be held.
