Roland Frederick Elchler
aged 90 passed away suddenly at his home June 25, 2003. He will be greatly missed by his loving wife of 67 years, Florence Elizabeth, his son Roland and his wife Joy of Ladysmith, his daughter Betty and her husband David of Nanaimo, and his daughter Katherin and her husband Doug of Burton, B.C. Also left to mourn his passing: 2 sisters, Mable and June of Kitchener, Ontario, a brother Cotton of B.C., a brother-in-law Harold Myers and his wife Edna of Tavistock, Ontario. He is predeceased by 4 brothers, 5 sisters and 1 sister-in-law. Roland was the loving grandfather of 14 grandchildren, one predeceased, 25 great grandchildren and great great grandfather to 5. Though his life work on earth is done his legacy will live on in all of the hearts of all who knew him. A private memorial is to be arranged at a later date. Arrangements confidently assigned to Telford’s Mid-Island Memorial Service.
