passed away peacefully into the Lord’s presence from Traveler’s Lodge October 26, 2006.

Ron was born in Red Deer, Alberta on September 19, 1928.

He taught school in Napa, Alberta and it was during this time he felt the call of God to become a full time pastor. Ron was an ordained minister and pastored churches in Arcola, Sask., Midland, Ont., Hamilton Ont., Morristown, New Jersey, Owen Sound, Ont., and here in Nanaimo. Pastor Ron will be remembered by his parishoners for his sense of humor, his love of God and his care for them. It was his passionate desire that they know Jesus in a personal way, as he did. Ron will be greatly missed by his wife of 50 years Pauline, two sons: David, Mark (Lauri), a daughter Sharon (Larry) and one grandson his bike riding buddie Erik Jessen, also a brother Bill (Lena) and 2 sisters: Thelma Oliver and Phyllis McLean as well as 1 niece and 6 nehews.
